A council of Ulema and Mashaikh in the field of practical action

Registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan on 22 October 2014, the Council represents the creed and ideology of the scholars and spiritual guides who stood with the founders of Pakistan.
Why the Council exists
The land of Pakistan came into being through the blessing of the friends of God and the noble scholars of this soil. Its establishment was made possible by the long struggle and immense sacrifice of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and his devoted companions, guided by the vision of the poet of the East, Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal.
Wherever the Muslims of the subcontinent united in the Pakistan Movement under the resolute leadership of the Quaid, the efforts of the Mashaikh-e-Izam and the Ulema-e-Kiram in that struggle can never be forgotten. Their exemplary role and service carries a great share in the making of this country.
From the establishment of Pakistan onwards, the Mashaikh, the Ulema, the people of every school of thought, and the whole nation have stood together in every difficult hour as a wall of lead for the progress, security, and survival of this homeland. The Muttahida Ulema Mashaikh Council of Pakistan has represented that same creed and ideology in the field of practical action for the past three decades, and regards this vision as its destination.
The creed and the destination
The fundamental creed and vision of the Muttahida Ulema Mashaikh Council of Pakistan is the religion of Islam, drawn from the Holy Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet, the Hadith, and the Constitution of Pakistan. Its destination is the practical implementation of Nizam-e-Mustafa, through which genuine democracy, progress, peace, and prosperity may be established in the country.

The ideological front
To strengthen and consolidate Pakistan on its ideological and intellectual front, and to secure the practical enforcement of Nizam-e-Mustafa.
An Islamic welfare society
To establish a welfare society providing social justice, human rights, education, health, and equal opportunity in employment and enterprise, including for women.
Defence and harmony
To make the geographical and ideological frontiers of the homeland invincible, in complete concord and harmony with the national institutions responsible for its security and defence.

Registration with the Election Commission
The Muttahida Ulema Mashaikh Council of Pakistan was formally registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan as a political and religious party, under the founding chairmanship of Malik Safdar Ali Awan.

Ratification of the Dastoor-e-Asasi
The party constitution and manifesto were presented to the meeting of the Central Executive Council at Flashman Hotel, Rawalpindi Cantt, and approved unanimously by the members present.

Intra-party elections
Elections for the central offices were held at the Markazi Secretariat, Kalyam More, Rawat, in accordance with the Constitution of the Party and the Elections Act, 2017. Seven office bearers were returned unopposed.
Open to every citizen who shares this vision
Membership of the Council is growing rapidly across the country, and organisation-building continues at pace. Influential figures from political, religious, and spiritual life, as well as from the various fields of national endeavour, are joining the party in large numbers.
